Assignment 12


Environment
This environment takes into space, where the chickizen have built own territory in planet earth.  In this section there are three environments will be talking about :
·         Power station (engineer section)
·         Medic
Power station visual
An engineer room is supplied with  power unit, control and mataintenance. This is the main power source is running the entire of city (Luxembourg Minor), in order for chickizen to maintain their living and expenses.
Light sources
In powerstation there are less lights, because engineers prefer to work in dark enviroment, in benefit engineer can easily spot out the troubleshooting when one of the circuit glows (power low) means they need to re-route the wire  to supply a new power unit
Facility access
The access to this facility are only engineer staff, they can access the section by card reader, by using hand print. William Darwin, is one of  the engineer worker and supervisor  of the facilities.
Teleportation

There are teleportation for engineers  to travel faster by standing on platform, the energy beam will hit the chicken and convert it into an telepoint, which allows them to travel with lightening speed. The teleportation are only authorised for engineers, medic and miliatary units, for alerts incoming threats and medical support.
Medic

 This is medic section facility where they handle sickness, injuries and quarantine control management. There is new technology (auto stich) which computer scans the body to find any cuts or wounds and automactially  heal the wounds by stiching. Hannah Galloway is a chief medical inspector who’s in charge of this facility.
Access
The only way to access the facilitiy  is by staff, transporter or emegency contacts ( using hologram call).
Enviromental effect
The envriomental will  be different for each area as the player goes through by linear indoor and outdoor path.
Key Scene

 The enviroment scene more likely to take in Luxembourg Minor as the player will progress through many areas such as shopping mall, engineering facility and medical station. Main scenario is more likely to be in space staion, this where incident and terrorist attacks begins.
Puzzle
Broken wire
There are several puzzles for each of the player will be going through, for instance there is a entrance covered with broken wires ,  an engineer needs to find  a way to cut off power by using a terminal near by.
Locked doors
Some doors will be need to be unlocked, they will need to find a key in order to unlock the doors. Some of the doors will have encrypted password for ammunition purpose. Some of these doors have dialog theme, so player listens to it carefully and then input that same theme so that the door can be unlocked.
Vent
This only works for an agent to find a vent, an agent can use the vents to go around to unlock doors from otherside, access to the tram or ammunition. Some of the vents can be dangrous because sometime fox uses vents to attack the players.
Battery
Some of the facilities needs to  be powered by battery in order to access other areas like medical lab, finding keys,suits and helping survivors.
Sentry guns
Several  places some of the areas is restricted by gun, the gun will shoot anyone in fire line of sight. The players will need to find a way around to  turn off the sentries, or they can hack it by using engineer skills.

Assignment 11


Game Summary


The patterns of pleasure that emerge within and between games offer special kinds of enjoyments. Game designer Brian Moriarty uses the word entrainment to refer to this kind of rhythmic pleasure. Entrainment comes from the French word "entrainer" and has two meanings: to carry along, and to trap. The word has commonly been applied to a range of physical and natural phenomena, from circadian sleep rhythms to the sonic play of a thunderstorm. According to holistic thinker Dr. Stephan Rechtschaffen, "Rhythmic entrainment is one of the great organizing principles of the world, as inescapable as gravity. It explains how one rhythm works with another, and how separate entities, from molecules to stars, will fall into rhythm as automatically as a pulse beats or a butterfly flaps its wings (p.341)”
Once the player enters in the game it emerges with the players experience and sets their motion and experience by playing the game. Watch out is like minesweeper but slightly modified, with its gameplay mechanics, new interface, sets of rules and new components.
Watch out  is grid  with multiple colours, in each boxes   some  there are icon that affects the player or it can benefit the player. This is one thing that Minesweeper don’t have, its all about making choices and players are trying to guess where about is the safe spot. In Minesweeper if the player land right on the bomb is instant death however the watch out allows to give the player a chance by resuming where the player was left off.


Mechanics and Pattern Identification

The watch out is does resembles as minesweeper but it’s more of a casual and puzzle game combined with different constructs of rules. The grid has combination colours for each square. The tokens are going to be covered   in each every single square on the grid. And all square boxes will be covered with tokens with different colour. Having different colour does give player a mind boggling which can cause confusion to the players and decision making. Some of the square represents an icon that will affect the player (depending) what the player receives;
·         1up – Player to receive 10 plus hit points into players life
·         Smiley face- they are the main objectives the player needs to get in order to finish the game
·         Bombs- Bombs are obvious as player should be aware of; they are not friendly and will hurt players. However if the player does have extra hit points it will knock – 10 down.
 That is why tokens are being used to cover up items. The game falls into problem solving and decision making whatever the player progress. If the player manages to to find all the smiley face on that grid, then player will progress to the next grid but the grid will have more additional tiles and   icons are going to be un random place so it doesn’t stay the same. If the player manages to find all smiley face again then will move on to next stage with higher difficulty, there is pattern that stays intact with its game.


Set of rules
Main objectives are the player needs find all the smiley face in order to win the game and move onto the next stage. If player falls into bomb then its game over but if the player has received 1 ups there is possible for the player to stay in its current game.
Player will need to monitor their own health by having pen and paper to know whereabouts the status of their health. Player will receive 10 hit points from start as default as they try to uncover the tokens for each tile.
Components
The components are being used by colour tokens in order to keep its differentiation since tiles have colours and mixing them can affect the players mind.

Character
Biography : Jake Kurtis
Childhood
Jake was born in 2473 he was raised at titian station. Jake’s father Ben Kurtis was with P-sec known as the elite officer. Jake has lived his entire life at the titan station which is in one of Saturn’s and the site of first planet crack.
Career
At 2510 Jake has become a P-sec officer just like his father was. Jake managed to graduate with master from K-tech College. From there that’s where Jake was promoted as P-sec officer. The company was really impressed about Jakes ability and his reliable of handling the case, solutions and his interrogation skills.
Incident
On the first day of his job he was given an instruction to investigate mall in the sprawl which is located in north east town. There has been lot of violent of suicidal and homicide. Jake had
Jake couldn’t help and could not restrain the people are insane and crew of the body have been changed. As Jake could not restrain the civilians, he had no choice but was force to take casualty by shooting them. Later on Jake has realised these crew members were known as Necromorph in the aftermath attack. Not only it was in mall incident but it has spread chaotic and fears throughout the whole titan station. The government has now locked out some area for its quarantine purposes; Jake is fighting through his way to find about this incident and to gather the survivors in order to escape titan station.
Jake has received new orders from his boss captain Skeit, his mission was to find Nolan Stross and Isaac Clarke is eliminating the key subject. Jake was suspicious and wanted to know more about the two hostile but the captain did not give any details or reason why they had be killed.
Strength/weaknesses
Jake is good handling combat when it comes physical. He will help the people if they are in trouble by encountering monsters. Jake seems know to know how mechanical work, he does have engineering skills in his background although not much. Jake’s mind has been affected by the Marker, sometimes he sees his mother, although his mother died at train incident, Jake does sometime goes paranoid and delusional and seeing and attacking the things aren’t really there.
Protoganist/Antagonist
“A protagonist character is persona through which player exerts him or herself into an imagery world; this relationship can be intense and emotionally “immersive”. However, at the very same time, the character is a tool, a puppet an object for the player manipulates according to the rules of the game. In this sense, the player is fully aware of the character as an artificial construct.” Simply the player will play as the character or feels like the player is the character that will go through many events and to find out what is the characters objective.



The Antagonist is the opposite of protagonist or known as villain/enemy. They are major threat to the main character. The audience can tell the difference between a hero and enemy as the concept is shown. Visually there a lot necromorphs, bodies are twisted, limbs are cut open and the necromorph have blades in order to attack the protagonist which the player  gets to control.
Story Arc





The backstory will have an opening to close. The story follows in sprawl titan station. Each chapter the player will need to find the objective but will be taking long route because the objects are blocking the player’s path and some of the environment can actually harm the player. For e.g. the player finds electric cable around the entrances but cannot go through, the player will need to find its power generator and turn it off in order to get through. As the player progress there will be more objectives, more puzzle will be involved, the necromorphs will try to slow down the player. There are also other events that player will go through but someone has destroyed bridge prevent you progressing and it affects the character that has to find another path.


Key Enviroment

 The environment is out of space but there is city in cracked planet which is titan station. The design is more futuristic but there are also other facilities, such as school, medical lab, engineering mines, shopping mall and security department.
Game Interface


In Dead space there aren’t any huds or other information on screen. All the information is on the character.  The green long bar is actually showing the health to the character so that player can see. The health bar colour can change and show the reaction of character status. When the character gets the gun, the player can actually see how much ammo it has, if player wants to reload in right time. Also there is a digit number next to his health which shows how much oxygen the character has. Its more realistic and gives the player feels like they are the character.
Emotional player responses

 “Dementia is a serious loss of cognitive ability in a previously unimpaired individual. Dementia occurs in the dead space series as a term to describe the psychological effects of the influence of the various markers. It is characterized by vivid hallucination, violent behaviour, extreme paranoia, and other schizophrenic- like symptoms”
The screen the visual colour changes and the character will see things that aren’t actually there, some of the hallucination will try to kill the character, the player will need to be ready in order to avoid the traps.

Betrayal

“Within her grasp, Daina reveals the "cure" for Isaac's dementia was a ruse to lure him to her[2]. Unlike Tiedemann and the Earth Government, who want the likes of Isaac and Nolan Stross dead, Daina and the Unitologists need him alive to maintain the "blueprint" the Red Marker imprinted on his mind in order for the church to create their own Markers.”
Although the character will need to follow Diana instruction in order to be safe and when it had come to that point, the character figures out that she turned out to be an enemy. Player feels the emotional as if that was big loss and not to trust like anyone.
Player feelings






Player may not able to see whereabouts the necoromorphs are and their location which leaves the player insecure. However in order to sense that they are in the same place with the character, the character heartbeat will go faster, which is letting know the player the necromorphs are nearby or  by listening a theme which gives scenario to be scarier.
The environment and visual is a lot darker, the player will need to rely on the flashlight in order to see the necorrmorphs.

Assignment 05


Tic-Tac-Toe (Chess)
Overview
This is a chess game (Elimination), there have been slightly modified to its gameplay and impact of its mechanic. In this overview it’s going to cover 3 topics and will be talking about:
·         Rules of modification
·         Modification of analysis
·         Impact of Chance and Skills mechanics





Rules of Modification
Objectives -This Elimination is only two-player strategy board game as the audience can see. The player one (white figures) will have 4 sets of pieces which are pawn, knight, king and queen. The player two (black figures) will only have pawn pieces. In this point will be explaining and why the player one and player two. The player one main objective is to eliminate pawn, get the King and Queen to the other end of the side.  Player two objectives are to eliminate player one pieces.
Penalty & Fairness - Both players will have the advantages and disadvantages and will be explained. It isn’t recommended for player one to beat all the pawns from player two. If the player one can get the king and queen at the other side of the board, player one will be the winner. And same goes for the player two but different. If player two somehow can eliminate the King and the queen the player two will be the winner. Also player two must know that if it eliminates a pawn from player one it will convert as a black pawn
Cards 1-6 and Dice (D6) – these components can only be used for player one (optional for each turn). Dice will be used as D6 and Cards there are 6 of them and will explain how they work. When player one gets a turn he/she will get to roll dice if player one wishes to. Depending number of the dice the player gets, for e.g. if player one gets six from the dice then player one picks the card six. The card six offers revive of single piece whether its pawn, knight, queen or king. The rest of the cards are here the list
·         Card 1 – Miss a turn
·         Card 2 – take 1 prawn or step back.
·         Card 3 – take turn twice.
·         Card 4 - Shout and say “I’m a loser”.
·         Card 5 – Shout and say “I’m the best”.
·         Card 6 - revive a piece.
However if the player one does gets card six and player one has already 12 pieces then that card will be cancelled, because it needs to be fair and playable balanced.
Impact of Chance and Skill Mechanics
There is huge difference with skill and chance when facing an opponent against in Elimination game. All players are naturally born different skills like strategies, probability and solve the patterns.
Chance – in this elimination there are lots of chances that can be used towards the player itself with empathy or against the opponent. Rolling Dice is another chance because the player will not able to predict what the number he/she going to get which means either a good chance or bad chance depending on situation. Well if the player gets card six it gives him to revive one of its pawn or king etc. There can be a lucky streak to defeat like for e.g. player two finds a way to kill multiple of pawn and that’s one the chances the player can take if its right time  do so. Also another chance of winning if the player one lost king can control the queen as the game has not been ended. Player two must always estimate itself chances like converting white pawn to black, this   means you can outnumber the other opponents and build chance to defeat the player one.
Skills – learning the fundamental of chess will help player to enhance better play, ability and self-confidence. By giving choices player one can either use card or move pawn depending choice and its results. Player one can follow the patterns of the where the opponent places his pawn. By naturally learning and developing from opponent pattern gives player one the advantage. Player must always think for strategies before they can initiate the attack which goes under the “Chance” for them to beat the player.  Have to make sure players follow their own rules and use those rules to develop their own skills.  Overall it’s all about listening, paying attention to other player and finally making decisions.

Modification of Analysis
The modification of chess had to be changed; more features were added like the dice and the cards. The miniature was figured between the players. Each has its own ability and characteristics. The meaning of that lets take an example between player one and two what the audience see difference. Player one has the ability to use card games with in its turn but that. In Chess some miniatures were added and others were unnecessary like Bishop and Rook. These were removed because it does increase the length of game time and with them having there would be a lot conflict. Like for instance some audience will say they found the game too easy and others may have said the game was pretty short. By researching its analysis had to make sure the audience love the game by increasing the length of its gameplay and difficulty adjustment
Visual theme analysis – had to make sure it was just more than a chess game.  The visual there wanted to put it as horror element aspect. Like player two think of pawns as zombies that eliminates the white pawns and coverts them into black pawns. This is how the idea has come up, having a theme of your own is good starts which gives the creator a basic idea and use them of one of game components.
Logic - understanding of playing Chess does have lot of thinking and mathematics. Clearly we can understand how the principle works in the chess game.

Assignment 04


Grave Encounters Game Concept

Plot
There are 4 crews and have named themselves known as Grave Encounters. The crew are preparing to investigate the abandon Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital. The crew voluntarily to lock themselves inside Collingwood for the night and began their investigation and analysis.
Lance Preston – is the main leader of Crew and investigating.
TC Gibson – main camera, job is to record every raw footage in Collingwood Hospital along with Preston.
Sasha Parker – the second camera face who is along with TC and Preston.
Matt - technical and equipment supplier for cameras and EVP recorder. Matt has set-up 4 statics cam different room so that in case they can capture footage of ghost or any movement objects.
After 8 Hours lock down inside the Collingwood, the reality of the real world and spirit world have been merged together without the crew noticing.  As the crew were noticed that they are not alone. One by one Crew were missing or have been died during paranormal activity.
Gameplay Mechanics And Unique Selling points
Objective
The remaining survivor left is Lance Preston and has figured out how to get out of the Collingwood alive. In order to succeed the player must collect the four static cameras that were had been set up by Matt.  The mission was given by a ghost that the player must finish the film. After having 4 cams the player must walk through the red door is only way out.

MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics)
The Grave Encounters can be broken down into fellowship, challenge and competition. But what the game is truly based on and where it shines the most.  The Dynamic therefore the abilities of co-op play communication and co-operation between players.  Co-op is one of huge advantages, players can easily get the objectives in less time consuming.   One of other mechanic is that we see the player starts off with 100 Hp ( health point) . the cards will be introduced into this game since the players have to encounters such as ghost. We can give some examples of the cards
Card:  Hide – meaning that the ghost is either chasing the player or attacking , there are avoidance to the enemies so that player can easily run away from the enemies.
You will be given random cards and use them carefully and wise so that player knows when to use the cards and its purposes.  There are other mechanics involved such as the camera the player is holding.  It is important the player camera is recharged because some player will walk through in dark alley way and players will able to notice using night vision in their camera. The Aesthetics to the dynamics, these frameworks cannot be completed without the mechanics behind it all. The meaning of that is gameplay must have unique selling points for e.g. take look at one other mechanics for healing and resurrection characters. Another  way of selling points the gameplay has to be visualised and enjoyable  like say some players like it hard-core others likes
Research
There is similarity to this game play and the mechanics to it, well this game board is called “The walking dead” but it does uses the encounters cards. Have also watched the Grave Encounter
Documentary film to understand its plot and it’s conceptive.  The genre of the film is to be known as horror and documentary. From that point of view we had to figure and how to transform that film into game board, here is the screen shot.






this is my layout game board  a is to give an idea and visualise the how the gameplay  looks like. Each box has an attack and use card. A demonstration, whenever the player gets attacked by ghost that has +3, the player must roll a dice  if the number is higher than the attack chance  that the player can avoid if not the player can use card instead of  taking the chance  on the dice. Must remember player has limitation of using card so like said use them wise carefully.
There are some research of that I have found difficulty in this game. Player is easily dying lack of hp during the attacks which leaves player huge disadvantage.  The game board   had need some adjustment an elements for the player to have skills, from there had to introduce the card which players will able to use against ghosts to make it easier for the players and  for ghost to have fix ratio in their placement.  Cannot have any weapons here because the film the crews had no weapons but cameras can be used one of the advantages to spot an enemy or see dark areas.
Improvement and Feedback
The game board needs to have more rules   like for e.g. 2 elements are being used attack and use card. Add such as finding survivor to one of the mechanics.  The game can be played as co-op but the layout needs to be increase for the length of the game time. More visual needs and an eye catching, meaning the layout game board needs to be redesigned so that it attracts the user for an eye catching.

Maze – Puzzle




 Introduction
This is essential an automated maze.  A complex branching passage through which the player must find the route. It’s one of a construction game that has multiple paths.
Gameplay Mechanics & Reasoning’s
Player will able to earn points and combination if get it done within time limit.  Player movement freely allows player to go anywhere back and forth as long the player finds its destination point. The whole game maze is revealed more and more as the game progress. The whole game takes place in the context of “The labyrinth”.
The player play as the dog who will have to get to hospital, there is certain time limit so if the dog fails to reach to destination point will eventually lose and will have to restart all over again from the start.
Solving
This is because mazes can be quite challenging and they require sharp thinking to solve. The maze solving is the act of finding its route (destination) from start to finish. If the strategy doesn’t work then player must come up another or find different path.
Educational
There are certain senses of personal objective that can be derived from effectively solving puzzle. The reason of this because Maze requires analytical skill

Memory Skills
Mazes can be solved more quickly by working at least part of solution back and forth. Player will realise they have to transpose action into reverse. Second thought memorise quite lengthy sequence.
Puzzle – Jigsaw

Introduction
This puzzle genre is based on construction puzzle. The Jigsaw is tiling puzzle need for particular purpose of assembly of numerous small and oddly shaped, interlocking and tessellating the pieces.
Gameplay Mechanics & Reasoning
Puzzle ICO (Guessing)
When player guesses (solves or logic) In order to get the right picture of its puzzle.
There are 12 pieces has picture on it; when complete, a Jigsaw puzzle itself will produce a complete picture (Picture shown above).
The game mechanics are constructing of rules is to intend and produce an enjoyable gameplay.
This puzzle is persistence in solving and assembling the pieces.  Or one way to classify the puzzles could be:
·         Separate parts – Pieces are already  separated
·         Joining parts – The pieces are randomised and player must figure carefully which each piece join.
Interlocking limitation
The player has limits of making wrong move or placing incorrect pieces, if the player makes over three mistakes is game over.  As in puzzle there needs to be striction for a player so gives little challenge to the player.The reason to that is player can avoid mishaps of pieces, coming apart once they have been solved. These pieces are interlocked so they match and fit tightly together and it can separate if necessary. This makes the Jigsaw more comprehend to solve making it even more important for the pieces solved to stay in one place.
Method
The strategy of jigsaw game is to develop the skills and needed to participate in activities. It requires teamwork, listening and problem solving.
Background
Jigsaw is multifunctional and construction of teamwork learning. Jigsaw can be used in variety of goals but most importantly it is used for the acquisition.
Good for Brain
Jigsaw is an excellent activity keeping brain sharp. It challenges the player dexterity, reasoning and logic.
Social Interaction
While puzzle taxes player brain, it’s not so demanding that you can’t talk with friends or family while you are working on it. It is based on concentration.
Concentration
Eventually player will focus and concentrate on a task like finding the right piece.
Help Subconscious
Gives player subconscious chance to work on other things. Working puzzle allows mind to rest and work out other things. Players can always go back and forth to find the solution one way or another.









Word Search Puzzle
Introduction
The word puzzle has a letter words in grid, it can usually be in Square or rectangular.
Gameplay Mechanics and Reasoning
The objective is to find and mark all the words that are hidden inside of the square. The words can come out vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Many of word search puzzle theme to which all hidden words are related.
Word search can be more interesting by adding some challenges for instance put a time limit of searching the words. By either challenging player itself or by competing against other players head-to-head in a 10 minutes cash
Strategies
It is common strategy for finding all words by going through the puzzle by left or right of the word. After finding a letter for e.g. you found “Intelligence “ player should look at the twelve letters to see whether the next word is there.
There is another strategy is to look for outstanding words and it is easiest to spot the letters are Z, X, U and O.
Education Purposes
Word search certainly exercising players brain and increase vocabulary. It helps for the young students and education purposes. Its problem solving to find the words . An easy, fun acitivty and suitable for all ages
Rules
Word search is one of the most common, known and familiar of all puzzle games. The rules can easily change depending on the puzzle. Player has 10 minute to find all words in the puzzle
However every puzzle the words are hidden in a grid of letters, and player must find those words in grid before the time runs out.Players can save them a lot of time if they find a word in puzzle, their time will be extended to 1 minute per word.

Unique Selling Points
Diablo III is an action role-playing video that was developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Blizzard is a company itself an American video game developer and publisher founded on February 8th 1991. What draws the players to play Diablo III is one of the visual art and concepts, the voice actors, the theme, background sound quality were really done fantastic. The game has hack and slash combats, unending loot items and new gameplay experience. The game allows for the player to choose any of the five classes which are Doctor Witch, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Hunter and Monk, each of them has different abilities and unique style for their battle. Each of the class has its own narrative linear open ended gameplay in order for the player to understand the characters plot and their personal background.
The game does offer a cooperative without any hassle where they can play with any other players regardless of class selection. It can also be played on solo; everyone can progress at their own free time, or groups of friends. There range of difficulty that can be set whatever the player or a group of friends desires; there are 5 difficulties which are Easy, Normal, Nightmare, Hell and Inferno. The game has simple unique intuitive, a tutorial and easy learn to play the game, it’s fun and addictive. Diablo III has 4 Acts as player progresses them in each order in order to unlock the next Act.




Also the Diablo III have other merchandises such as the strategy book, this allows the player to understand the skills and tactics in order to help the players to play well in professionally. There are other promotions such as gaming mice and mat, first of the entire mouse is developed by steel series, it has 7 ergonomically placed mouse buttons, it has excellent mouse speed and its precision, with a long ‘Diablo’ illumination. Diablo has many ways to capture the audience and the media’s attention because of Blizzard is a huge company that owns World of Warcraft, the players from there can also play Diablo III since the players are loyalty to the company, it is most obvious the players  from WOW are willing to buy Diablo III.
Gameplay Mechanics and Dynamics
1.      Gear up
This where user gets to see the characters gears and their stats, each of the gear have their own stats and abilities. There eleven gears which are head, shoulder, bracer, gloves, belt, pants, boots, ring, amulet, primary weapon and secondary. Once player finds gear needs to check on the stats which comes along with that gear such as dexterity, strength, intelligence and vitality. For e.g. take as the demon hunter, this character requires more dexterity because purpose of this character is to avoid the enemies physical attacks, the demon hunters are good at range attacks so therefore dexterity is for required. The players have to be careful of the items that they equip, the only way to know this is to look at the gear stats, if the colour shows green with numbers it means it will additionally benefit the character, however if it’s red it minus then it will be the opposite instead of getting benefits the character will lose some stats.
2.      Inventory and Items
This is the characters inventory, where it allows them to carry their items while they explore the place or city. There are all kinds of items the gears, crafting books, potion and crafting materials. When player kills a mob sometimes they drop items and only player will get to see the item drop if the game was in co-op mode, however if the players drops an item on the floors with near players it will show up on their map.
3.      Stats
Diablo offers a stats system so they keep up to date. The purpose of this is to show the progression and development of their characters such as physical defences, attack speed, critical hit chance, life regeneration and many others. The stats can only be changed if the gears are changed or equipped a different gear. The more number is increased on those stats the more the character gets developed depending on the gears. Sometime players will need to trade stats in order to improve others, so the player can balance their character stats. Another way to improve these stats is change display rather having numbers, they should put bar it makes a lot easier where the players at and visual makes more clear instead of having numbers.
4.      Heads Up Display
This is where all information are for the characters skills and life. The red ball represents the characters life and will show the mobs how much damage inflicts on the character or the life bar can upon characters head. The opposite of that ball is the characters mana. Mana can be reduced if the player uses special attacks, mana can regenerate from player by using primary physical attacks. Each of the characters mana has different design, colour mana system works different way, like Barbarian the only way for this class to get mana is to keep attacking mobs otherwise mana will start reducing. Now for the wizard is different their mana automatically regenerates but only can be reduced if player uses wizard special attacks, so once again mana works different for each class.
Platform Choice and Impacts
Diablo III is currently for PC but Blizzard is developing for the PlayStation 3 and 4 the company should also focus on other console, because not all players will have same console, in benefits for the game will have more community, increased sales figures and capture audience attention. There is other comparison that affects Diablo III, other titles are Torchlight, Dota and other rpg games. The  Diablo III will have an infliction upon other games, Diablo ne

            Left 4 Dead 2

Introduction
Left 4 dead 2 is a survival horror FPS (first person shooter), it is a single-player and multiplayer and it is developed by Valve Corporation. This game can be played with 4 human playable or computer-controlled survivors against the hordes of infected. Normal infected are controlled by the AI, human players can control up to four special infected player (in versus). The key to this goal of left 4 dead for the survivors is to help and work as a team make it through level to safety.

Game Mechanics and Dynamics
In this section were going to talk about how the gameplay mechanics and dynamics work in Left 4 Dead 2. This game comes with 13 campaigns, each campaign comes with 3 maps and most of others come with 5 maps. There are 4 level difficulties in this game that goes in order:
Easy – This difficulty is the easiest of the four. This mode is recommended for the new players who are not familiar with the gameplay.
Normal – Normal mode is balanced for the player and gameplay, as player progress it gets little difficult in naturally.
Advanced – This mode is for experienced player. It also requires high level of competence and care. If the player is not careful, it can make hard for your team as things can get tough. Especially friendly fire it has more chances of taking serious damage to other player.
Expert – This is the most difficulty of the four. In this mode standing still is an almost guaranteed way to be killed. Moving on may help little but need to be extra precaution. The player must be prepared, ready and anticipate anything.

Horde – Group of zombies will try to take the player down. The four survivors’ must be careful what they do or move about in certain areas.  Take example at a metal detector, if a player walks through, it will attract the zombies and will try to attack the survivors.


Special infected
The Special infected are more mutated and they are stronger than the regular infected. Each generally has a unique ability that a survivor cannot face alone, making challenging and it is based on teamwork testers in this game. But will going into depth about these special infected what they are and what they do:
Boomer – its advantages by vomiting at the survivors it temporarily blinds them and it draws regular infected to attack them. But the disadvantages at distance he is not much of a threat and very vulnerable.



Smoker – The smoker is more of an ambush type that can strangle the survivors with its long tongue. Advantages The Smoker can drag the player with this tongue towards himself if the survivors are far distance. But the disadvantage once the infected have captured with his tongue he remains stationary cannot move from that position.


Hunter – The Hunter is very fast and has ability to jump wall to wall. Additionally he can pounce and pin down one of the survivors. The maximum damage can do up to 25 pounce damage depending how high he lands onto the survivors. The higher he pounces the more damage hunter will do, that is the huge advantage for the hunter to deal with survivors. Disadvantage when the Hunter crouches down in ready to pounce, it growls, which gives the enemy position away to the survivors.
Charger – The Charger’s main attack is charging forward and bash into one of the survivors. If the attack is successful, the charger will grab and carry a survivor while knocking down the other survivors if they are in his path. The charger secondary attack which melee does a quite bit of damage and can easily take out the survivors if they are on low health but it does give the advantages for the charger. The only disadvantages is once the Charger charges it can only charge toward that direction and if he misses it takes time to reload his charge before attack again.

 Jockey - Jockey is very small infected it can attack the survivors by clinging on survivors head and literally riding while attacking. One of the advantage is that jockey can ride survivors into the dangerous situation for e.g. like near to the witch. The only disadvantages is Jockey can easily get killed because it has low health and can be killed in mid-air if the survivors melee right time
Spitter – She has the ability to spit a green ball acid from long distances, which hitting the ground and expand into big puddle and damage any survivors who crosses it. Advantage of spitter  as I mentioned earlier she can spit far distance. The second if hunter pounces and spit upon that survivor at the same time, will deal massive damage. Disadvantage is spit ball takes time to recharge.


Witch – The Witch appears few times in per campaign, they also be in random place. She is the second boss which is not playable and it is one of the disadvantage. However if the survivor makes contact with the witch by shooting her, going near her, Witch can incapacitate one of the survivors who ever startled the Witch.

Tank - The Tank is first boss and can be playable. He is the strongest of all special infected; he can run fast, smash or move huge objects out of the way. Tank does have large amount of health and players will able to play with the tank. Disadvantage is Tank has rage meter, what it means tank must keep the pressure on the survivors by attacking however if not the meter will reduce and player will lose the control of playing the tank.


In Left 4 Dead 2 there are 7 modes of gameplay user can play here are the modes below:
Single Player – Single player is an offline campaign game with AI controlled teammates
Campaign – campaign can be played with single player or co-op up to 4 players in campaign
Mutation – Mutation is set modified games and is replaced by new a mutation by each week following on the blog-post every Friday.
Realism – realism mode recommended for experienced players, realism campaign follows normal campaign in terms but make things harder for the survivors and it is bound by realism rules. Here are the examples:
·         The survivors will not have any outline and it will be required to stick with the team or you can easily get separated by your team
·         Beware of the witch, as in realism she can kill a single survivor with one hit
·         Common infected take more damage and body shots are less effective
·         Survivors will have to examine the rooms properly items will not glow so therefore you must search the room carefully

Versus – Each versus consist 2 turn. One team play as survivors and other team play as special infected. When the turn ends the team switch sides. Whichever the team gets most point that team will play as survivor next round.
Realism Versus – It is same as versus but it has slightly changed the realism rules, same rules as realism mode but you will be playing against human players.
Survival – Each survival match starts with their own setup time, allowing the players to scour the map for useful items. The team takes turn playing the survivors and the goal is to beat others team’s survival time.
Achievements - There are 69 achievements, half of them can be unlocked playing through single player and other half can be unlocked playing in multiplayer

1.)    As you can see in first person (FPS) view, player can see other survivors are attacking group of infected.
2.)    The green bar you see it’s your health bar (you get health from 100 hp at start)
3.)    On right middle of middle of the interface can see the equipment’s the player will have
4.)     The last you have picture icon so you can tell who are the players playing the characters.
                                        

                                

                                 Weapons and Ammo



Ammunition piles (known as Ammo) can be found in safe rooms and they are scattered somewhere else throughout the game. The Tier 3 weapons like Grenade launcher and M60 are not resupplied. 

In this picture we can see lots of weapons but they are different class of weapons. Like Tier 1 Its just basic standard weapons, Tier 2 is more of advanced weapon and has faster fire rate than Tier 1. Tiers 3 are powerful weapons and they are limited ammo and cannot be resupplied.
